Case Study: Indiana Gregg, Founder & CEO of Wedo

A few weeks ago, I talked with Indiana Gregg (Founder & CEO of Wedo) about her experience creating videos with us for the past 6 months.

Here are 5 things content has helped her with:

1. Increasing her reach

“My reach on LinkedIn has expanded hugely. There are weeks where I've had 6000 people view my LinkedIn page.

“I didn't expect as many people to say, ‘Oh, yeah, I've watched your videos’ when they came on a call. Video has that magical way of giving people an impression of who you are.”

2. Talking to investors

“When I'm approaching investors, I'd say, ‘So if you want to know how we differentiate from Revolute, I have a video for that.’

“They’re like, ‘Oh, she was prepared for that.’ That's probably super valuable, especially for startups.”

3. Getting a partnership

“We got a partnership because of the video reach. That’s valuable too.”

4. Attracting talent

“When you're hiring, the first thing [candidates] do is watch your content – who's this person? What have they done?

“If you do [content] consistently over time, at least 3-6-9 months, a year, continually, you're producing a ton of content. People can go back in time and see how your company and product have evolved and how you have evolved as a human being.

“People who work that Wedo also watch the videos and learn about the company. That's hugely valuable.”

5. Becoming comfortable on camera

“Anyone who's not used to being in front of the camera, this is a great opportunity and a safe space to get used to that. So they don’t turn into a different person when they're on camera.”

Here are 4 things she loves about working with us:

- She doesn’t need to think

“I seriously love that I don't have to think about anything.

“If I were doing this on my own, I'd set up a bunch of questions and think and answer them and be like, ‘Oh, I hate that.’ I’d then do it over a million times.

“When you're in a conversation and you're recording it, it doesn't become as stiff as you do when you're trying to do something on your own.

“What's also attractive [about your process] is that I spend maybe half an hour and have 10 pieces of content from it.”

- It’s highly organized

“I have never seen a more organized content provider like you guys.

“Everything is so well thought through. When you guys need feedback, in pops the message for me to say “yay” or “nay” or “make this change.” And bang, it's done!

“When Kirsten and I got off the sales call with Finn, I was like, ‘Did he just blow us away? I want him to come work for us.

“I knew this would be a piece of cake as I didn't have to do anything. Just turn up and answer some questions. Everything else is done for you.”
