Define Your ICP Before You Start Creating Content
Here’s what separates content that performs well from the ones that don’t:
Understand who it is for.
Our data has shown it time and again that whenever we create a piece of content without first thinking, “Who is this for?” it doesn’t perform as well.
That is why a key part of onboarding a new client at Project 33 is having them fill out an extensive questionnaire where they have to answer questions like:
- Who are your ideal customers?
- What are their desires and pain points?
- What are the frustrations that keep them up at night?
- How does your solution fit their problem?
Some of our clients have told us that they had never thought of their ideal customers in such detail before.
If you want to create content that cuts through the noise, defining your ideal customer profile should be a non-negotiable first step.
