How Content Marketing Works

Content marketing is telling people how they can solve the problem your product/service solves WITHOUT having to buy it.

It sounds counterintuitive, but here's how it works:

1. Attracting your ideal customers:

By posting about how people can solve the problem your product solves, you attract people who are currently dealing with that problem - i.e. your ideal buyers.

2. Positioning yourself as an expert:

By telling them how they can solve it, you’re showcasing your expertise.

Sure, some people will learn from you and just do it themselves.

But many other people don't want to deal with having to solve it themselves - they’re busy and have a job to do.

I might KNOW how to clean my house, but I don't want to do it - I want someone who knows how to do it really well to take it off my plate.

So is the case for your prospects.

If you keep sharing your knowledge, they will eventually reach out to you when they’re ready to outsource/hire someone to solve that problem.

Because you’ve:
- shown that you know how to solve it efficiently, and
- built rapport and trust with them by giving them free value.
