How to Build a Writing Habit

Today, I want to share my thoughts on building a writing habit:

- Begin with the content, not the audience: Things will move way slower than expected so if you are only writing to build an audience, you’ll get frustrated and quit.

- Reduce friction: Committing to writing daily is easier for me than doing it once a week. Also, once I’m done writing on my Google Doc, I take a screenshot and post it as a story on Instagram, which takes just a minute (reduce friction)

- Set up accountability: Since I share these stories daily, I feel like I have an obligation to write even if I don’t feel like it on a particular day.

- Recognize the importance of writing: Writing is a meta-skill. It will come handy more often than you realize. (writing is thinking)
