Why Content Marketing Is a Branding Activity
Content marketing is branding, not performance marketing.
You can’t just put out one blog post, one podcast, one video, and expect 20 new clients.
You need to create valuable content for 3-6 months before you see the results coming in.
So before you start creating, you need to see whether it’s a worthwhile effort.
How to do that?
Ask a business owner in your industry with a similar company to yours who’s been doing content for a while and ask them what it’s done for his/her business.
If you hear how creating a brand via content helped them:
- generate inbound
- increase retention rates
- reduce sales cycles
- lower CAC...
...you know it makes sense to move in that direction.
Once you see that it works, you’ll have the motivation to do it long enough to get tangible results.
